Beaver Scouts (6-8 years of age)
There is an active colony and we are unable to take any more recruits until next summer.

Cub Scouts (8 – 10 ½ years of age)
The Cubs spent two excellent evenings with East Suffolk Morris in November; at the end of the second evening they were all able to perform the dance that they learned in front of their parents. This was followed by the Morris men demonstrating some other dances for us all and rather cruelly making Akela join in with the last one. We all enjoyed our torch walk even though it was a bit muddy, a cup of hot chocolate at the end of the walk was most welcome. We ended the term with our Christmas party where we were entertained by a man with his owls which all the Cubs loved.
We are now back after the Christmas break and have a busy terms activities lined up for the first part of 2009.

Scouts (10½ - 14 years of age)
We continue to meet on the 1st and 3rd Friday of each month and at other times to suit our activity programme.
There is now a waiting list but we cannot accept more recruits without the following:
One Scout Leader and two Assistant Scout Leaders we now have three Troop Assistants who are keen to take part in providing Scouts with the programme on offer but they cannot do it alone - iIn other words we still need a permanent Leader!

We are still seeking the next two most urgent posts in the Group - Group Chairman and Group Scout Leader.
These are two key roles and are mainly responsible for ensuring the Group’s resources are sufficient to provide the Section and Unit Leaders with the facilities required for them to run the programme of activities for our young people.
